Rapper Anami Vice has announced an EP release show for his debut EP Are You Serious on December 5 at the Fortune Sound Club in Vancouver on December 5.

He’ll be joined by Cover Me Canada’s The Simpson Bros.Hot For Astronomy and Van-city DJ Cherchez La Femme.

Vice is coming off touring with Marianas Trench and Down With Webster. Marianas Trench frontman Josh Ramsay discovered Vice. His video ‘Time I Ever Had’ was directed by Ben Knechtel, who won a MMVA for the video for 604 labelmate Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit ‘Call Me Maybe’.

Sacred Bones Adds More Names To Five-Year Anniversary Show

Sacred Bones has announced the addition of Copenhagen duo Vår to the line-up for their fifth anniversary show at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California on December 21.

The event will also feature DJ sets from fashion icon Becka Diamond (13:13) and Dominick Fernow of Prurient and Hospital Productions. He’s also a  former member of Cold Cave and current member of Vatican Shadow. A limited edition vinyl LP will also be available featuring unreleased tracks and demos from Zola Jesus, Human Eye, Pop.1280, Case Studies, Vår, and others.

Numero Releases Medusa’s Album From Stone

Fans of early metal take note; The Numero Group is reissuing Chicago proto-metal act Medusa’s 1975 album First Step Beyond.

Released on the mysterious Pepperhead label, the owner supposedly disappeared after a bad trip, the album will come cushioned in mock velvet with artwork based on the band’s stage props. It promises to become a staple on the turntables of pot-smoking teens and adults alike.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra Announce Tour Dates, Deluxe Edition Of II

Unknown Mortal Orchestra have announced an extensive series of tour dates that will take them through to the release their new album II on February 5, 2013 and beyond.

Additionally, the band has also unveiled a pre-sale bundle that will feature a copy of the new album on CD and vinyl, the “Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)” 7″, a temporary tattoo, a root chakra print designed by Ruban Nielson, plus a poster he designed featuring Janet the Witch (the model on the album’s cover).
