Palehound, the latest project from Ellen Kempner, will release its latest EP Bent Nail on Exploding in Sound on October 22.

It’s the follow-up to 2012’s Dogs on Crutches. To preview the six song effort, Kempner has offered a free stream of the track ‘Pet Carrot’.

The EP will be available both digitally and on cassette.

“This collection of songs definitely exhibits my uncomfortable shift from teenage-hood to “adulthood” and the fact that regardless of what I felt like I should be as an adult, I still felt the same as I did when I was fifteen,” Kempner said in a statement.

Initially starting out as a solo project, Kempner recruited a revolving band late last year as her freshman year of college was wrapping up.
