Roman Remains combines electro, dance and industrial into an alluring whole with Moss’ voice riding atop it all. The four song EP was inspired by two years on the road traveling the world with The Duke Spirit from Los Angeles to the Himalayas.
“The whole process is all in a bit of a vacuum of fun-floating in beats, glitches and bass tones, which to me are fresh territories to roll around in,” Moss said in a statement. “The good and the bad, and the yes or no duality of previous writing has been chucked out of the window and we’re just writing in the moment and letting the kinetic energy bounce off the walls and spin us in different directions.”
Due to further issues with his visa, Tricky has had to cancel further dates on his US tour.
The problems stem from juvenile offences in the UK for joyriding and forgery of the crown. The new hold-up comes from getting this information from the authorities in the UK.
“The most upsetting thing about this, whatever happens it seems like it’s me letting people down. Other people have always dealt with visas for me and it turns out that they have not advised me properly. Now I have been advised that this was going to be straightforward and easily done in time for this tour and now this has happened,” Tricky said in a statement.
It his hoped that visas will be issued in time for the dates below.

The Pedro Maia-directed video for Tropic of Cancer‘s ‘Plant Lilies At My Head’ was created from the material and light manipulation of super 8 film as well as being based on shootings Maia made with ToC’s Camella Lobo inspired by the cover artwork of Tropic of Cancer’s latest release Restless Idylls, out now on Blackest Ever Black.
Tropic of Cancer is also currently on tour in Europe.
Ian West directed the video for UK alt-rockers Let’s Buy Happiness‘ ‘Run’, taken from their forthcoming debut album Chants For Friends, out on November 4.
Conceived by Sarah Hall from the band, it’s darker from anything they’ve produced in the past.
“It’s taken four years to form our music in the way we wanted it to,” Hall said in a statement. “Its inspirations vary from track to track as my thoughts & opinions have drifted over time, and together it works a collection of moments about a range of topics, from atoms to building a home. Single ‘Run’ was about that person you may know, friend or family, who has an inability to face up to truths and their destructive behaviours. I’ve seen this happen in my life & other peoples relationships but it isn’t about a specific person.”
The band is also heading out on the road in the UK in October before heading to Mexico for dates there.
