Roman Remains Announce New EP, Share Free MP3s

Roman Remains, the side project of The Duke Spirit‘s Liela Moss and Toby Butler, have announced that they will release their debut EP Energy You via H.O.T. Records Ltd/Fontana North.

The duo is sharing a free stream of the track ‘This Stone Is Starting To Bleed’. (It’s also available for free download here.)

Roman Remains combines electro, dance and industrial into an alluring whole with Moss’ voice riding atop it all.  The four song EP was inspired by two years on the road traveling the world with The Duke Spirit from Los Angeles to the Himalayas.

“The whole process is all in a bit of a vacuum of fun-floating in beats, glitches and bass tones, which to me are fresh territories to roll around in,” Moss said in a statement. “The good and the bad, and the yes or no duality of previous writing has been chucked out of the window and we’re just writing in the moment and letting the kinetic energy bounce off the walls and spin us in different directions.”

Tricky Cancels US Tour Dates

Image courtesy of We Get Press

Due to further issues with his visa, Tricky has had to cancel further dates on his US tour.

The problems stem from juvenile offences in the UK for joyriding and forgery of the crown. The new hold-up comes from getting this information from the authorities in the UK.

“The most upsetting thing about this, whatever happens it seems like it’s me letting people down. Other people have always dealt with visas for me and it turns out that they have not advised me properly. Now I have been advised that this was going to be straightforward and easily done in time for this tour and now this has happened,” Tricky said in a statement.

It his hoped that visas will be issued in time for the dates below.
