Japanese post-rockers toe have announced the dates of their second headlining tour of the US.
The band already has a huge following in Japan and around the world thanks to the Web. They have had the same line-up since 2000 and they have expanded their mostly acoustic sound to include a variety of instruments including acoustic guitars, rhodes pianos and vibraphones.
Bristol’s Candy Darling have shared free streams of ‘Going Straight’ and ‘Waves’ from their Going Straight 7″.
The trio came together over their mutual love of proto punk, rock ‘n roll and noir romanticism. ‘Going Straight’ is an ode to vocalist Emily Breeze’s lament to vulgar lifestyle she doubtlessly inherited from her great uncle and professional literary rebel Brendan Behan.
The Ninian Doff-directed video for Migos‘ ‘One Time’ sees the trio retracing their steps at a wild party that is frozen in time.
‘One Time’ was created for the 2015 YouTube Music Awards and features appearances from Workaholics Blake Anderson and football player DeSean Jackson of The Redskins.
Action Bronson has unveiled the video for ‘Baby Blue’ from his new album Mr. Wonderful, out now on Vice/Atlantic.
The video was released in conjunction with the YouTube Music Awards and features Bronson playing a series of characters in a slew of scenarios before ending up performing at a social hall with Chance the Rapper. His co-hort Big Body Bes films the video on a handheld camera and eventually ends up as part of Bronson’s backing band, wearing a baby blue suit.
“Excited for everyone to see our new video for ‘Devil on My Shoulder.’ I had sand stuck in my butt crack for days after jumping in the ocean in my clothes. And damn was it cold!” Zebrahead’s Ben Osmundson said in a statement.
“The song ‘Devil On My Shoulder’, featuring Jean-Ken Johnny is highly addictive to listen to and was a blast to record. It’s great to work with a band like Man With A Mission. The band is very talented and great to collaborate with. I think everyone is going to really enjoy singing along when we play the song live!” his bandmate Ali Tabatabaee added.
The Early Years – Revisited features re-recorded versions of fan favorites and classic tracks as well as a bonus track and a new one.
Since forming in 1996, the band has released 10 albums, toured the world and received a Grammy nomination for their cover of Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’.
“What’s strange is that kids are getting younger and younger every time we tour” says Zebrahead vocalist Ali Tabatabaee “I really don’t know where they hear us or where they get our music from, but it truly is inspiring for us to keep writing and making music to see these kids showing up to the show and being such hardcore fans. I can’t explain it. We’re really fortunate”
