Denver’s South of France have unveiled the video for ‘Civilization’, their first release since their 2012 debut Another Boring Summer dropped in 2012.
“We spend a lot of time in nature,” Jeff explained in a statement. “We’re always going on little outdoor adventures, so we figured we’d make a video that represents us. Our nature lives and our city lives. All of the city shots are of places we explore regularly in our hometown of Denver.”
South of France plans to release a new album in early 2016, title and date TBA.
The band started out as a project that Jeff Cormack engaged in, in his spare time. Inspired by a love of retro guitar-pop, Cormack hooked up with singer/songwriter Kelly Lueke, who eventually became Kelly Cormack.
The pair shared a love of melody-driven guitar pop and went on to play a number of music festivals around the world and shared the stage with big name acts such as Portugal. The Man, T.V. On the Radio, Two Door Cinema Club, Divine Fits, Tennis, Matt and Kim, Jimmy Eat World, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and Zella Day to name just a few.
