Videos for a Lazy Sunday: Andy Gabbard’s ‘Impossible Girl’

Andy Gabbard had this to say about ‘Impossible Girl’ in a statement; “With ‘Impossible Girl’ I experimented with a drum machine and various keyboards and ended up creating what was, in my mind, a New Edition-esque sound. The electric bass guitar is the only guitar featured on this track. The lyrics are super cheese. I wanted it to sound like the kind of music that was played at the roller rink or at the mandatory school dances I attended in middle school when I was a kid.”

The track can be found on his latest release Plenum Castle.

Gabbard is also a member of Buffalo Killers with his brother Zachary and used to be a member of garage rock band Thee Shams.

Videos for a Lazy Sunday: Sunni’s ‘Way You Talk About Me’

Dylan Knight, the director of the video for Sunni‘s ‘Way You Talk to Me’, had this to say about the clip in a statement; We wanted to play on the feeling of having something stuck in your head – whether it’s a melody, emotion, fixation – and how exploring those feelings can transport you to another place or state of mind. We decided to shoot on vintage Leica lenses with some soft filter assistance to get an in-camera, day-dreamy feel. It all came together organically, which is what I love about any creative process.”

The track can be found on Sunni’s Thierry Disko EP, streaming for free below;
