Stream Thyla’s ‘Blame’ for Free

Brighton post-punk quartet Thyla have shared a free stream of ‘Blame’.

The band has been garnering attention thanks to being included in the NME’s Essential Acts for 2018. They have also been tipped as an act to watch by several music publications. The BBC’s Huw Stephens has named Thyla as one of his Alternative Tips for 2018.

“’Blame’ is about the uncharacteristic choices people make when they’re trying to be like someone else, for the sake of someone else, at a cost to themselves. It’s a neurotic frenzy of guitars with self conscious lyrics about the state of paralysis jealously puts you in; blind anger with no real solution,” the band said in a statement.

Catch Thyla on the following dates;

12 May – Norwich Arts Centre (Dork showcase gig)
18 May – The Bee’s Mouth, Brighton (REX & Thyla present Guerilla The Great Escape show)
19 May – St Mary’s Church, Brighton (Alternative Escape)
23 May – The Boileroom, Guildford (BBC Biggest Weekend Fringe)
25-27 May – Dot to Dot Festival
26 June – The Castle & Falcon (supporting L.A. Witch)
