Videos for a Lazy Sunday: Christian Loffler’s ‘Like Water’ (Feat. Mohna)

German electronic producer Christian Loffler has shared the animated video for ‘Like Water’, featuring Mohna.

It’s the first single from his forthcoming album Graal (Prologue) out on April 4 on Ki-Records.

The clip features the main character gazing out over the ocean as cathartic emotions emotions emerge as Loffler’s music takes the viewer on a solitary metaphysical journey. The video was directed by Magnus Lenneskog and Tezo Kyungdon Lee. Best known as the founders of he award-winning Tjoff Koong Studios, their work has been featured in the Wes Anderson film Isle of Dogs as well as several Gorillaz videos.

The new album is a reflection of his frustration at the time about not having the mental space at the time to create music. He instead focussed on visual art and the album is a reflection of that. Drawing gave him the chance to create without constraints or as he explained to, “turn off my brain a bit, especially thoughts about what is possible or not.”
