Stream The Mohawk Lodge’s ‘Light You Up’ For Free

The Mohawk Lodge released their fourth album Damaged Goods today. Clocking in at just 30 minutes, it’s their shortest album to date.

Drawing inspiration from ummer nights, voodoo, long drives, and near-death experiences, the album was brought to life by frontman/White Whale Records manager Ryder Havdale and a variety of players, including Eamon McGrath, Clay Jones (Huddle), Scott Freeman, Danny Miles and Peter Dreimanis (July Talk), during a heatwave in Toronto.

The Mohawk Lodge’s New Album Is Damaged Goods

The Mohawk Lodge will release their new album Damaged Goods on October 23. Stay tuned to Exclaim!, for a stream of the album a week before its release.

The Vancouver-via-Berlin collective, fronted by White Whale Records founder and manager Ryder Havdale,  is currently on tour in Europe with plans to head to their home and native land in spring 2013.

Havdale isolated himself in a cabin with the beginnings of the album following a tour of Europe and emerged with the 16 track offering full of tales of voodoo, summer nights, long drives and near-death experiences. He then returned to Toronto to record the album with the latest incarnation of The Mohawk Lodge; Eamon McGrath, Clay Jones (Huddle), Danny Miles and Peter Dreimanis (July Talk), recording the album during a heatwave before heading to BC to finalize the album with producer Jordan Koop at his new Eloise Floor studio.

Damaged Goods will be released digitally and on vinyl. Pre-order here.
