Yi have shared the video for ‘Not So Dead’ from their debut EP EP1, out now on Hand Drawn Dracula.
The duo of Jordan Allen (Rolemodel) and Jesse Crowe (Beliefs) came together in 2015 after collaborating on the track ‘Until’ from Allen’s Rolemodel EP.
Working together proved fruitful as they produced enough material for two EPs, which will be released via Hand Drawn Dracula.

“Lyrically, ‘Seeds’ is all about guarding yourself, whether it’s love or friendship or any aspect of your life when interacting with people. Everyone feels it on a daily basis and its all a part of life. But in the end those seeds you’ve sown might mean less than you know,” The Seams‘ vocalist/guitarist Kevin Connolly said in a statement.
Musically, the band’s sound encompasses guitar pop from the 60’s through to the 90’s. Their Josh Korody-produced debut Meet the Seams is out now on Hand Drawn Dracula and streaming for free on their Bandcamp page;
The Seams have a date at The Silver Dollar in Toronto on January 17, 2017 with Partner.
The Ivy Lovell-directed video for Toronto’s Beliefs‘ ‘Swooner’ captures singer Jesse Crow having her head shaved by Greys singer Shehzaad Jiwani in the bathroom of Unlovable Bar in Toronto.
In the autumn of 2015, Crow, a hairdresser by day, wanted to shave her head but she was playing in a Portishead tribute band on Halloween and spent months carefully styling her hair to look like Beth Gibbons.
After Halloween, she got Jiwani to shave her head.
‘Swooner’ is taken from Beliefs current release Leaper, out now on Hand Drawn Dracula.
