Videos for a Lazy Sunday: Major Lazer’s ‘Come On To Me’ (Featuring Sean Paul)

The video for Major Lazer‘s ‘Come On To Me’, featuring Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum selling dancehall reggae artist Sean Paul, was directed by Reuben Fleischer, best known for his work on Zombieland and 30 Minutes or Less, was inspired by Japanese Kabuki theatre and features a group of Kabuki dancers performing to the song.

‘Come On To Me’ is taken from Major Lazer’s Apocalypse Soon EP, out now on Mad Decent/Secretly Canadian.

The latest video from Major Lazer features a visit from new superhero ButtZilla. It’s taken from his new album Free The Universe, out now on Mad Decent/Secretly Canadian.

It was released to coincide with the release of a remix of the track featuring Bruno Mars, 2 Chainz, Tyga and Mystic.


Mad Decent Unveils 2013 Block Party Line-ups

Mad Decent has unveiled the line-up and dates for the 2013 Block Party.

It kicks off on July 19 in Calgary and wraps up on September 15 in San Diego. Major Lazer, Flosstradamus, Dillon Francis and RIFF RAFF are just a few of the names slated to play.

Fan club tickets go on sale tomorrow, May 1 and come with a free 30 day premium Mad Decent membership to the label’s subscription service. General and VIP tickets will go on sale on May 3 and 4. Tickets will be available here and here.

Major Lazer Gives 5000 Reasons To Like Them

With the April 16 release date for Major Lazer‘s Free The Universe fast approaching, the trio of Diplo, The Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, have announced that the video for “Watch Out for This (Bumaye)” will be released once this page on on Potato’s Facebook receives 5000 likes.

Potato is the YouTube music video channel curated by Diplo, Skrillex and A-trak.

They also offered the fourth volume of their free Lazer Strikes Back mixtape.


Videos For A Lazy Sunday: Major Lazer’s ‘Watch For This (Bumaye)’

Major Lazer released the official lyric video for ‘Watch For This (Bumaye)’, via Potato, the electronic music video network curated by Skrillex, Diplo and A-Trak.

It’s taken from their forthcoming album Free The Universe, out April 15 via Secretly Canadian/Mad Decent/Downtown Records.


Major Lazer’s Free The Universe Delayed

Fans of Major Lazer (aka Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire) will have to wait a little longer to see the trio release their new album Free The Universe.

In a statement released on February 22, they said that the release date for the album has been pushed back with no solid release date. The album will now be released on April 15 on Secretly Canadian/Mad Decent/Downtown Records. In the meantime, fans can pre-order the album on iTunes starting on February 26.

To tide listeners over until the album’s release, they plan to release three volumes of rare and unreleased material starting this week with Lazer Strikes Back Vol. 1, head here to download it for free. Tracklisting is below;
