Kiss me, you fool!”  He wondered whether he should risk their friendship by telling her how he felt.  He never did and she’s still with her boyfriend.  I wrote this song for him.”

Videos For a Lazy Sunday: The Crookes’ ‘Play Dumb’

To celebrate the release of their forthcoming album SOAPBOX, out on April 15 on Modern Outsider, Sheffield, UK’s The Crookes have shared the video for the first single ‘Play Dumb’.

They’re also offering a free stream of the tracks as well;

“The idea of the ‘Outsider’ underscores many of the songs. It was never intentional, but upon reflection it was clear that feelings of alienation and frustration was a gauze through which all the music was filtered,” Guitarist Daniel Hopewell explained in a statement. “As a band we have always been outsiders. Over the last few years have found a strange sense of belonging in the underground. Wherever we go we always seem to find/cause chaos, but we embrace that world.”

The band also shared a teaser for SOAPBOX;
