Looking For a Place T.O. Happen, November 9

Head to The Rivoli for a gig celebrating the release of The Last Pogo Jumps Again, a documentary about the early days of Toronto’s alternative and punk scene.

The Mods have reunited for the gig and they’ll be playing alongside The Nursery, Johnny and the G-Rays and Donkey. Cover is $10.

Trade Secrets, Crhymes, Hands and Teeth and Formalists are playing The Silver Dollar. Cover is $6. RSVP here.

Blank-Fest Offers Free Music Compilations & Videos

With Blank-Fest Vancouver coming up on November 9 and Blank-Fest Calgary coming up on November 16, the organizers of the event, which raises money, warm clothing and blankets for the homeless, has released a pair of free compilations.

Crystal Antlers are rolling into The Silver Dollar for a gig with The Two Koreas and The Highest Order. RSVP here.

Or, head a little further west on College and kick-off Movember with the Joe Sh’Mo Shave-Down at Sneaky Dee‘s. h@tb faves Little Foot Long Foot are on the bill with Mad Ones and The Organ Thieves. It’s an early show with doors opening at 6:30 and LFLF hitting the stage at 7.

Hannah Georgas is rolling into The Great Hall for a show on November 2 with Louise Burns and Sam Cash and the Romantic Dogs. Cover is $17.50

Sounds Australia Brings Artists From Down Under To Canadian Music Fest

Sounds Austraila, a not-for-profit organization that helps to raise the profile of Australian artists abroad, has announced that it is bringing over 15 artists from down under to play Canadian Music Fest, or Canadian Music Week as those in the know still call it.

Two of the artists slated to play include hotly buzzed Aussie artists Emma Louise and The Beards. See below for a complete list of Sounds Australia events.
