The Manifesto Festival of Community and Culture has unveiled the line-up for its 2013 event, running September 19 to 22 in downtown Toronto.
It all culminates with a day-long free event at Yonge-Dundas Square on September 22.
The event includes art exhibitions, dance competitions, panel discussions, workshops, free outdoor concerts, networking opportunities, a marketplace and more.
The event’s highlights include the Manifesto Art Show, Floor Awards, celebrating urban dance artistry in Toronto and the So Much Things to Say Summit at the new George Brown College Waterfront Campus.
Manifesto will take over Yonge-Dundas Square for Live at the Square artists from from across the GTA including Freedom Writers, a new artists exposé “2 O’Clock Fresh”, Thugli presented by 1LoveT.O, Smash Brovas backed by the Juice Water Quartet, the “Ladies 1st Cypher” celebrating DJ Mel Boogie’s 20th anniversary, The Known Unknown presenting Sean Leon and Unbuttoned, and 20 year hip hop veterans Souls of Mischief with more to be announced leading up to the festival.
The Last Style Standing Battle will new dance and interdisciplinary pieces with MNFSTO dance artists and other musical acts and the Freshest Goods Market will feature 30 emerging and established vendors in streetwear, jewelry, art and more.
