‘I wrote my new song ‘Yellow Bird’ in the California desert high above Joshua Tree where I was working with Adam Pavao in his desert hideaway studio. I feel the expanse of the land in the song, a song about freedom. It’s about realizing that reality is undefined, not fixed, and to experience liberation you have to rid yourself of attachment and expectation,” Stevenson said in an e-mail.

He said that he feels the most connected with this release.

“I’ve been able to approach it with ample care and attention. There’s a blend of ideas that I’ve picked up in different contexts in the way this record was made, taking the lessons from the people I’ve worked with and applying them to making a record in the way I initially learned how to do it,” Stevenson said.

Stream Du Tonc’s Remix of Muneshine’s ‘Full Throttle’ for Free

Muneshine had this to say about Du Tonc‘s remix of his track ‘Full Throttle’ in a statement; “Du Tonc’s ‘Darkness’ was a really big song for me. I came across it on Soundcloud when I was first starting to explore making music that wasn’t at least somewhat related to hip hop. I’ve always been a fan of disco, nu-disco and dance music in-general, but there was something special about that track that really grabbed me and continues to stick with me. When ‘Full Throttle’ was mixed and mastered and it came time to consider artists to remix it, Du Tonc was top-of-mind. They found a way to maintain some of it’s original energy, but really shot it deep into outer space as well. I’m so grateful they were down to work together with us on this project, they crushed it!
