The NPR showcase at Stubbs will be her first with a 12-piece band. St. Vincent, Damon Albarn and Perfect Pussy are also on the bill.
The dates at South by come ahead of the April 22 release date of her Dave Sitek-produced album FOOD on Ninja Tune. She unveiled the video for ‘Jerk Ribs’ from the album;

Nashville artist Mikky Ekko spent his childhood travelling around the deep south with his tar plant manger father turned preacher, receiving firsthand experience with southern gospel, poverty and the resilient past of the deep south. From there, his own music started to take shape.
‘Who Are You Really’ was born out of a period spent living in Nashville working various jobs and playing in different bands. The single caught the ear of elusive New Jersey producer Michael Volpe (aka Clams Casino) and he invited Ekko to NYC where the pair became fast friends after writing together.
